Moshato House
The project called for the addition of 2 floors on part of the roof of an existing building. The existing structure, has 3 floors and was constructed 50 years ago. The structural analysis did not allow for the addition to be made with traditional monolithic construction, due to the limited weight that the old structure could support. The only solution that the local building authorities will approve was the use of CFS (cold form steel) structures. Vivacitas homes was contracted to design and build the metal structure. Our team of 3 people erected the metal frames of this very light building, in 3 days.
The design was for two small apartments. A studio of 29.00 sq.m., and an one bedroom unit of 56.00 sq.m., on 2 floors, with a big veranda .
